Cast Stretch Film or Stretch Wrap is an important part of AAB Product portfolio. Technically it is Liner Low Density Polyethylene ( LDDPE). It is made by a process called Cast Extrusion and is proudly manufactured at our plant in Dubai, UAE. The thermoplastic material is thrust over on a flat die surface and then cooled by quenching into a roll at varying speeds. The speeds at which the casting roll takes the thermoplastic substrate from the die determines its thickness. Its elastic properties ensure the products remain tightly packed.
This process allows the stretch film to have excellent see-through properties. It can be removed quietly from the surface it clings to, requires less force to stretch it and has a fair bit of tear resistance. It is also NOT expensive making it a packing material of choice for routine applications.
Uses of Stretch Wrap / Film
Cast Stretch Wrap is usually used as packaging, packing material and it holds boxes, cartons on a pallet for easier, safer transportation. The film also has a protective function during transportation as it prevents tampering, pilfering of the packed products,
